MISSION STATEMENT:

To make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities in Malaysia, through in-depth, caring Bible study, available to all.

Community Bible Study is a non-denominational Bible Study celebrating our unity in Christ,

History:
Community Bible Studies was founded in the United States in 1975 with a single class. By 2007 there were over 600 classes with tens of thousands participating weekly.

Community Bible Studies International was established in 5 countries with 14 classes in 1992. Today it is ministering in almost 50 countries in some 40 languages and with numerous classes. Each week new classes are being added.

Why do we Exist?
To build a community of people interested in enriching their spiritual lives through the study of God’s word and caring for one another.

Distinctiveness of CBSI:

Individual Study:
Class members answer home study questions to gain personal insights into the weeks’ Bible passage.

Stimulating Discussion:
Class members study the passage with other class members in small groups facilitated by a trained small group leader. Members learn to share and discover from one another new in-sights into God’s word.

Effective Teaching:
A summary lecture is presented after the class discussion by a trained and confident Teaching Leader,

Insighful Commentaries: As the members leave, a 2 page commentary is handed out, which further explains the passage that was studied.

Care for Each Member:
Each member of the class is cared for by the leaders and other members. In this way the members experience God’s love and put into practice what they have learned.
