CBSI Malaysia gives thanks to God for his faithfulness and grace in the last 20 years. Rev Fred David, who was on a Sabbatical in Austin, Texas 1996-1997, came across a CBS class at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church outside Austin. He was impressed at what he saw, as he was looking for something in strengthen his training of Evangelists in Sabah, Malaysia. He was put in touch with Earl and Betty Reeves who were Calebs and overseeing the CBSI ministry in South East Asia. Earl and Betty then trained Rev Fred in Singapore and that led to the first CBSI class in Malaysia in the Interior of Sabah in 1998

CBSI Malaysia recognizes the great and valuable contribution by the Reeves. We thank God for their love for God and his people. Their warmth and willingness to just to see people getting into God’s Word.

Earl and Betty, you are fondly remembered by the early CBSI team. Thank you and God give you health and joy in the days ahead.

Happy Chinese New Year

orangesThe Board of Directors and National Director wish all our Chinese members and friends a Happy Chinese New Year. We pray that God’s blessing will be abundant in you families and lives. Much has been said about the “year of the Horse”. But we at CBSI Malaysia are going to get hold of the bridle “run” in the year of the horse. We are looking at increasing the number of classes this year and developing a strong team of Teaching Leaders. We are praying that through these classes our members will further contribute to their local churches. Together with their church leadership to lay a strong biblical foundation and principles of the kingdom in their congregations.

Thank You all

mail-1With the closing of the PJ Class for the year, all our classes in the country closed for the year end. I take this opportunity to thank all small group leaders, Teaching leaders and class coordinators for all the hard work done. The greatest joy for me as National Director is to see the depth of the class discussions and the lectures given. I praise God for this. Truly God has used CBSI in a small way to come along side churches and help build their members more deeply in God’s word. To all the churches that have opened their doors for the classes to be held, I also want to say how much we at CBSI Malaysia appreciate this gesture and your confidence in our Ministry. Thank You all.

Mid term break

Most our classes will be taking a 2 week break in view of the Hari Raya Holidays. Please continue to do you daily questions and at the same time open your hearts to what God is saying to you. If you are going away for a short break, DO NO FORGET to take you studies with you.

Use this time to witness for the Lord and come back to your classes refreshed and ready to complete the semester. Happy Holidays!
