Thank You Bette Reeves

Board of Directors and members of CBSI Malaysia extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Earl Reeves and family on the passing away of Bette Reeves. Earl and Bette were very instrumental in the setting up of CBSI Malaysia in 2001 when they were Calebs overseeing the ministry of Asia Pacific. Our National Director first met then when he was on a Sabbatical in Austin Texas and traveled to St. Louis to visit them.

Bette has always been a source of inspiration and encouragement. We continue to pray for Dr Earl in this time of loss and may the Lord continue to strengthen him.

Thank you Bette and we know you will be rejoicing in the Lord’s presence.

Message from the International Director

God’s Word Is Not Bound!

The COVID-19 crisis is causing massive disruptions and triggering fear, but the pandemic cannot stop the Word of God.

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, “Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!” (2 Timothy 2:8-9) Community Bible Study leaders around the world may be grounded, but they cannot be stopped. Our leaders are developing and implementing creative solutions to the current challenges. And God and His Word continue to transform lives.

Partnership in the Gospel

Rev Canon Fred David, National Director of CBSI of Malaysia met up with Tina Guingona, National Director of CBSI Philippines. in August. We were all part of a great team under CBSI Asia Pacific led by the late Ps. Peter Hanscape. It was a great time of sharing and encouraging one another and praying for the ministry as it grows. Looking forward to another meeting with the Filipino team on the next visit to Manila.

God Bless the work of CBSI around Asia
