“Missed Many Times”

Worship time

Sharon Lim, came to the class last Thursday. She is a worship leader in her church and agreed to help in the worship when asked by the Coordinator.

But the reason Sharon came to the class was in her own words “because I have missed the opportunity many times to be part of the JB CBSI class. I have been waiting for almost 2 years to find time to attend these classes.”

Sharon is able to attend this time round after making some sacrificing changes to her work schedule. There is a cost in wanting to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. The study of his word is an important aspect of discipleship.

New Semester Begins in JB

We praise God that a new semester has begun in Johor Baru. At the first class about 30 were present. We are trusting God that members will invite their friends.

If you are in this area of the country or know of friends there, please let them know of the great opportunity of studying the Word of God with other bible loving Christians.

The JB Class is studying Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians. The host church is the Church of the Good Shepherd, JB.

25 members achieved 100%

Thank you

Mary Das the coordinator for the Klang class which meets at St. Barnabas church, thanked all members for their faithful attendance at our CBSI class. She especially praised 25 members who attained 100% attendance. She said this showed their eagerness and hunger for God’s Word.

She then announced that when class resumes in 2011, they will be studying the Book of Revelation. Please pass the word around and register early to ensure you have a place in the class for 2011.

Missionary attends CBSI

Ministering in Orrisa

Bro Noel Visvalinkam, is a missionary in Orrisa India. He works among the rural people and enjoys his work. He is back on furlough and decided to attend the CBSI class in Klang. He says he has gain much from the class. He greatest wish is that ALL churches and study groups should launch into Bible studies such as CBSI. Bro Noel feels that this is a must.

Importance of Small Group leaders

In a CBSI Class, nothing can replace the small group leader. Thus the training of these faithful men and women is always a priority. They need encouragement and prayer and we want to assure them that they are always prayed for by the National Team as well as their own class members. To some small group leaders this may come as a surprise. Keep up the good work![/caption]

No Age Barrier to Study

It is a tremendous joy to see some senior people come to the CBSI Class in Klang. In the Class leaders time before the class, it is always emphasied that we as small group leaders need to make members feel Comfortable, Confident and Cared

Our class in Klang is honoured to have 2 Marys. One is May Das who is the class coordinator and looks to getting all the material ready while the other is Mary James who sees that each week various groups will be responsible for the refreshments for the members. We praise God for their services to making members feel: Comfortable, Confident and Cared

Congratulations to JB Class

Surprised 1 John is over!

It is with thanksgiving to God that we rejoice, that the JB class has finished 1st. John. We praise God that there has been almost 86% attendance. The National Director has been asked to preach in Church in September and give out the certificates to all who completed the class. This is the first time CBSI Malaysia is doing this. Praise the Lord.

JB Class finishing 1 John

Next week will see the JB class concluding their study on 1 John. The attendance has been consistent and it has been a great joy to teach this class. They are planning a “Graduation” time where class members will give their testimony especially how God has shaped their lives through the studies. We hope that the new members to the class will also have the courage to share.

This will be the first time that we will be awarding class members certificates.

Class In Klang

The dates have been fixed for the next round of classes in Klang which will be held at St. Barnabas Church. They have decided to do the Book of Daniel and it will commence on 2nd August 2010 and will run till November 2010.

Please let your friends know of this and it will be a great opportunity for them top study a great book of the Old Testament. Rev Fred David will once again do the teaching with Dr. Viji Daniel assisting him.
