Easter Greetings

Sanctuary decorated for Easter

The Board of CBSI Malaysia wishes every class and member a Blessed Easter.

For Christians all over the world it is a day of celebration of the Risen Christ. We remember the empty tomb that gives us hope that we will also be resurrected to be with the Lord. This is the Christian hope. Christ Jesus did not only come to give us life but to give us Eternal life. This is dwelling in God’s presence forever. This can be experienced here in this world and will lead us on into the next.

If you have never heard of Eternal life, please look for a Christian and ask him or her to explain this to you. This will be a life changing moment. If you are interested to know more what the Bibles teachers about this life, look for one of the CBSI BIble study classes near you and join the class today. If you still cannot find please email CBSI Malaysia and we will see that you are help. God Bless you.

HAPPY EASTER.

Happy Chinese New Year

The Chairman, Board of Directors and National Director, wish all our Chinese Members a very Joyous Chinese New Year.

May this season of great rejoicing and festivity, bring the love of God to the homes of your loved ones. We pray for all our loved ones who have yet to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ that this year the Lord will open doors for the Gospel to touch their lives. We must continue to pray without ceasing.

3 Scores & Ten

Alan with family

It was a joy to be invited to celebrate the 70th birthday of our brother Alan Chong who was a small group leader in the PJ Class. A group of about 30 friends and family gather at a hotel for the surprised celebration A number of them were CBSIers.

I was given the privilege to pray a blessing for him and give thanks to God for the gathering and food.

Alan we are so proud and honoured to be there to celebrate with you God’s goodness.

Church Camps Opportunites for CBSI

As the National Director, I was invited to speak at 2 Church Camps during the long break. It was an opportunity to introduce the Ministry of CBSI Malaysia.

The first camp was held from 26-28 August. This was held in a eco-friendly fruit orchard. The theme was “One reaching One” Fred was able to lead the church through a series of messages from Paul’s Letter to the Philippians helping them to set their Out-reach programme as a priority.

The Second was at a beach Resort in Lumut from 30 August to 1 September. The theme was: “Church Aflame” There were 5 sessions challenging the church to minister in the Power of the Holy Spirit and looking at how God used Fire to move the people of Israel. It climaxed with the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit as in tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost.

At these 2 church camps I was privileged to share with the leaders the vision and ministry of CBSI Malaysia. I am confident that as God opens these little windows it will lead to great doors in the days to come. Pray with me for this to happen.

JB Class Member is Ordained

Rev Tan Meng Poo who is a member of the JB Class was ordained Priest in the Anglican Church in the Diocese of West Malaysia on June 28 by the Bishop Ng Moon Hing. Rev Tan serves with RBC Ministries an organisation which distributes daily devotional readings in many languages. He is one of the International Vice Presidents.

Meng Poo’s love for God’s word and getting the Word into the hands of Christians initiated the first CBSI Class in JB. Thus we are thrilled that God has called him to take on this responsibility and role.

Our Prayers and blessings are with Meng Poo and his family.

Passion Week

The Saviour rides a dinkey

Many of our classes are on break for the Easter season. Passion week began last Sunday with what s commonly called”Palm Sunday” This is the day that Jesus journeys triumphantly into Jerusalem riding on a donkey fulfilling the prophecy of the Prophet Zechariah (Zech 9:9) We are told from the Gospels that the crowds spread their clothes and others cut down branches and spread them on the road, crying after Him, “Hosanna to the Son of David”

This will be the beginning of Jesus’ journey to the Cross of Calvary. May we during this solemn season be mindful of the sacrifice that the Lord made for all on the Cross on Good Friday.

80 Years of God’s Goodness

Mr. David Henry, whom we spoke of sometime ago as one of the 4 members in our classes, who maintained a 100% attendance, celebrated his 80th. Birthday in the midst of family and friends. A few CBSI class members were there. Our National Director was given the honour of praying for David and giving thanks to God for his life.

Fred in sharing how he has seen David grow in the last couple of years in CBSI said that here is a man who have been transformed by God’s Word.

May God give you many more years to testify for HIm.

Our Malaysian Delegates

Fred, Jovi, Terri & Esther during a break

Esther Richards (PJ Class) , Terri Lewis (Ampang2 Class) and Jovi Natividad (Ampang2 Class Coordinator ) were able to attend the CBSI Conference in Port Dickson. I believe they were blessed and encouraged to see what God was doing through CBSI in the other countries of the Asia Pacific. Our National Director was also there with them.

Regional Servants Team

AP Team

The Regional Servants Team met for 2 days before the Main Conference. It was a time of updating one another on the developments in our respective countries and also a time of equipping and drawing strategies for the development and growth of CBSI in various nations.

Pray for Peter Hanscamp as the Regional Director and for all the others who lead national ministries like the one here in Malaysia.
