JB Thanksgiving dinner

A wonderful meal awaited all class members after the final session. We had the privilege of having Rev Alan Kyaw from Myanmar visiting the class. He is interested to start an English & Burmese class in Yangon

JB Class completes Revelation

We praise God that the JB Class completed their 30 week study on the Book of Revelation 22 May. It has been an exciting journey for all and every member was greatly blessed. They concluded their final session with a thanksgiving dinner. At the dinner special gifts were presented to those who had a 100% attendance. We praise God for such commitment.

CBSI Malaysia thanks our coordinators Dr. James Low and his dear wife Pauline for all their hard work and love for the class. A big thank you also the the Pastor of Church of Good Shepherd, JB Rev Soong for his support and encouragement.

Condolences

Please uphold Dr. Low and Mrs. Pauline Low of our JB class. Pauline’s mother went to be with the Lord last week. Please pray for them as they go through this time of mourning. The Lows are coordinators of the JB class and take great care and pride in running the class.

Dr. Low and Pauline we are praying for you at this time of loss. God is with you.

100 % Attendance

3 brothers maintained a 100% attendance in the JB Class. The pastor of the church on behalf of the class presented appreciation gifts to them.

Celebration in JB Class

October 17 was the last class for the JB area as the 2013 semester drew to a close. They have been through 20 Lessons on the Book of Revelation. It ended with Chapter 16 where hope is seen rising. The class coodinator at the end of the lecture presented a slide show of the 7 Churches in Asia where some of the class members had been.

The night ended with a time of fellowship and food prepared by the members themselves. A great way to end the semester.

Grandfather introduces grandson to CBSI

It was indeed wonderful to see a grandfather bring his grandson to his Class. Vincent who is a member of the JB class has his heart in the right place. This is what we all want to see. Starting off our children as early as possible in the Word. Please pray that we will be able to have a team to be trained to do the Children & Youth CBSI in Malaysia.

Pastor welcomes JB CBSI class members !

Another class commenced with excite in Johor Baru (JB) They began with an Introduction to Revelation. There were also some new members from the community who joined the class. Rev Soong welcome all to another year of great studies and prayed God’s blessing for every member.

The class is hoping that God will give them wisdom and discernment as they study Revelation and are seeing how they can apply these Biblical truths in their daily lives.

JB Class to starts in Lent

We are pleased to announce that the JB Class will start their semester in Lent. That is after 13 February which is ASH WEDNESDAY. They have decided to study the Book Of Revelation. This is a 30 weeks course and they are opening for registrations soon. Please pray for this class

End of Semester -JB

The JB last met on Thursday 29 November for their last class on Ephesians. It was a time of thanksgiving and encouraging one another. The Class Coordinator Dr. Low spoke of how he was encouraged and strengthen by the class study and the lectures. Rev Fred thanked all for their eagerness to study God’s word. He himself has grown through the sharing and experiences of class members. He appealed to all that as they come again in the New year, that each be challenged to bring one new person to study God’s Word.

Growing small group leaders

It is wonderful to see that many of those that we have trained have done a wonderful job leading their small groups. The class in JB has been encouraging many to step up to be trained as Small Group Leaders.

The Pastor has informed me that they are now ready to further extend the ministry of CBSI in the South in the coming year. Praise God.

CBSI is a wonderful ministry to help your class be a blessing to others.
