Happy Birthday

The PJ Class celebrated the birthdays of our Coordinator sister Esther Richards and also brother Jack Nadaraja who is a small group leaders. These little celebrations at the end of the class is much looked forward to. One of the essentials of the CBSI programme is the care for one another. This  is time for members of the different groups to mingle and share fellowship.  Often it is at these times that you hear how effective the study has been.  It is often a time of praise. CBSI Malaysia is helping to raise a a greater number of people who will apply God’s words into their daily lives. Amen.

Genesis begins

On Tuesday 12 August, the PJ Class began their study on Genesis. It was a good turn out. There were also a number of newcomers. One of the member commented, “I did not know that it would be so interesting! I now understand the creation story better.”  Praise the Lord. We pray that more members would be impacted by this study.

New Study starts in PJ

We want to congratulate the PJ Class as they begin on another 30 week study of the Book Genesis. They will start with the introductory lecture on 8 July 2014 at 8.00pm at St. Paul’s Church, PJ.

WHY SHOULD WE STUDY THE BOOK GENESIS?
In history, there is always a point of reference. The Bible is through and through, a historical revelation. It is the account of God’s activity in history. The Book Genesis gives us this historical reference from which all subsequent revelations proceed. Here we find the roots of the inhabited world and universe, of man and nations and of sin and redemption.

An interesting time of discovering God’s revelation and interaction with class members will be enriching for your walk with the Lord. CBSI Malaysia welcomes you to this exciting journey in life.

Hope and the Certainty of God’s promises

Last week”s lecture (Lesson 8:Hebrews 6.9-20) at the PJ Class was delivered by Mrs. Glo Rajendram aka aunty Glo. She spoke of the need to always look to the “better” things that the Lord has made available for all who follow him. Often it is the material that is much sought after. However, the writer to the Hebrews speaks of “a better relationship,behaviour, security and hope” that will have far reaching impact as we strive to live the Christian life.

Jesus is always the better master to follow.

Hebrews @ PJ

The PJ Class decided that they will study Hebrews. It is an 18 week study and they are into Lesson 6. There has been very positive feed back so far and the fears that this is going to be a difficult book has turned out into an interesting and understandable Epistle. Thanks to all the small group leaders who are doing a great job and to the Teaching leaders for their spirit filled lectures.

Christmas Get Together

The PJ Class had a wonderful time on 7 December at the home of our members brother Solomon and Vasantha. We thank them for opening their home and for hosting a great fellowship dinner. It was a time for just sitting and sharing God’s goodness to each one. It was also great to hear how the Book of Revelation had an effect on their lives. Each one was able to say that God had Blessed them during the year and for that they were so thankful to our Lord and Saviour.

Thank you to all who came and made it a great Christmas gathering.

100% attendance

Joanah, was the other person who attained a 100% attendance. She loves the word of the Lord deeply that peeping into her study notes will give you an insight of how serious she is with her study of the Word. Well done and be seeing you again in 2014.

Commited Couple

Raymond and Julie were congratulated for their 100% attendance in class for the study of Book of Revelation. Despite the traffic jams in the city and flash floods, these have not kept this lovely couple from the class. Sister Esther Richards, class coordinator and teaching leader presented them with a little gift as a token of their commitment and support to the PJ Class. We look forward to having them attending the class in 2014.

Completion of Revelation!

The PJ Class on 6 November came together to celebrate the completion of their 30 lessons study of the Book of Revelation. The Class Coordinator stated that class attendance was over 80% through out the year. She acknowledged that 1 couple and 2 others as having attained 100% attendance. We praise God for their commitment. It was also a time of celebration with a fellowship meal and a time of sharing God’s goodness through out the year.

Found what she wanted!

Mika Ikegami, searched for a Bible study group and Christian fellowship for a long time. An ex-CBSI member introduced her to CBSI and the PJ Class. She was able to complete the study on Revelation and has even now become an active member of the local church.

We praise God that CBSI has been a blessing to the local church. A local pastor said, ” I encouraged members to be part of CBSI because they in turn serve the local church.” Amen and praise God.
