Serious but Joyful time!

I had the privilege of sitting in on a class as I was not doing the summary lecture tonight. It was a wonderful experience as I observed that there was both the seriousness to God’s Word and at the same the “the joy of the Lord” was evident in class members. It was wonderful to see that they have grown in the depth of the relationship with the Lord and also in the understanding of His Word. Nesam who was the small group leader at one point shared her personal testimony of how God turned the tables on those who had opposed her family. This was in the context of Acts of the Apostles Chapter 18 where Gallio, the proconsul found no wrong in the accusations brought against Paul by the Jews. God said to Paul ” For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you,”

“Missed Many Times”

Worship time

Sharon Lim, came to the class last Thursday. She is a worship leader in her church and agreed to help in the worship when asked by the Coordinator.

But the reason Sharon came to the class was in her own words “because I have missed the opportunity many times to be part of the JB CBSI class. I have been waiting for almost 2 years to find time to attend these classes.”

Sharon is able to attend this time round after making some sacrificing changes to her work schedule. There is a cost in wanting to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. The study of his word is an important aspect of discipleship.

My life is different!

What the Word can do for all - Joy

In one of the outside class meetings over tea, Anne Matthew said this: “You know what? The CBSI class has changed my life. My life is so different now!” Ann who joined the CBSI Class in PJ a year ago has never missed the classes except when she had to be away once this year in Bangladesh.
Asked what was so special about the class, her reply was the personal study, class discussion and of course the lecture. She hopes and prays that many more will be able to attend these studies.
