CBSI Malaysia is Registered!!!!!!!

Praise the Lord! After over a year of signing endless documents CBSI Malaysia is now registered under the Commissioner of Companies Malaysia. This means we are a legal entity. We will operate under “C B Study Malaysia Berhad” . But for all other purposes we will still be able to call ourselves CBSI Malaysia.

I want to thank all who have prayed for this to be possible and want to thank Mr Liew Weng Ho one of our class members of the PJ Class who helped us get this through.

Friends we must continue the work that has begun and see this nation deepening her faith in God through the Word. CBSI Malaysia has been birthed for this purpose. Amen.

Ampang Class studies Revelation

After a break of 2 months, the Ampang class met last  Thursday for an introduction on the Book of Revelation. On Thursday  4 June they will have their 2nd Lesson on Revelation. They are very excited and are looking forward to the study.  The National Director Fred David will be assisted by elder Ng as the Teaching Leaders

Please let your friends know of this and if they are living in this area, it is a good opportunity to study Revelation in depth and with a balanced understanding.

Please contact: Elder Ng See Yan, mobile number: 012-200-9278 for attendance.

Training in Dimapur, Nagaland

Fred has just come back from the above training in Nagaland. This is in North East India. Nagaland is very Christian and is a “dry state”  that means, no alcohol is sold in this state of India. Praise the Lord.

The AP Regional Director, Peter Hanscamp asked Fred to help train a group there. Ps. Devandran Rai while visiting New York came into contact with CBS and was impressed when he visited a class and thought that this might work in Nagaland. So he was directed to the Asia Pacific regional office.

About 18 persons turned up for the training that was coordinated by bro. Lalboy. who says ” I have been blessed by the training and gained many new insights into teaching the Bible effectively” This class will be finishing “Nehemiah” and will be looking forward to begin on one of the books. Please pray for them.TL1

2 Classes Close for the semester

We praise God that the Class in Melaka and the Class at  YMCA Ipoh have completed their studies for the semester. They are now on break and will come back some time in August to resume with their studies.

Average attendance at both classes was above 85%. We thank all the small group leaders for their commitment and involvement in the classes. Special thanks to Rev. Mathew Chay in Melaka and Dr, Teoh, Sandi and Jenny in Ipoh.

We look forward to the refresher training for all small group leaders and teaching leaders sometime in August.

Thank you and have a good and well earned break.

God Bless

Klang Training!

We praise God that He has opened yet another door for a new class to commence in June. Fred was able to train over 10 small group leaders in the town of Klang on 25 April 2009. This town is about 30 minutes drive west of Kuala Lumpur. The class will be based at Bethany Chapel, Klang. Stephan Chandran will be the coordinator and Teaching Leader.

Fred’s observation:  This was the first training  that so many young people were attending. AMEN. Please pray for this class.bethany2

Congratulations

The Ampang Class completed their study on Paul’s Letter to the Colossians on Wednesday 1st April 2009. There was  sense of thanksgiving and gratitude, which was the theme of the last lesson of Colossians. Many expressed that they have gained much from the studies and the format of CBSI. The method needs discipline and they felt that it was good for them as it gave a seriousness to the study of God’s word.

A small group leader commented that the most challenging task was preparing for group time. He has been blessed by this. They will be thinking of the next study in due course or may join another class in the next township which will be studying “Revelations” in May 2009.

Congratulations on your commitment to the study of God’s Word.

Valuable lessons

lipvuiTeo Lip Vui is a young Christian, just baptised on New year’s day and joined the PJ Class for the study of Colossians. He has had a 100% attendance and at the close of the class for the Easter break sent this mesaage. “Thank you for inviting me to join the CBSI Class. I have learnt many valuable lessons in CBSI and will pray that I will apply them to my life”

Once again we have seen that the Word of God can impact the lives of men and women. We must continue in what the Lord has laid upon our heart.

Heavy Rains and Flood does not stop Class

Heavy rains and floods did not deter the opening of the new semester for the Ipoh Class. We praise God more that 40 people braved the weather and came to class on  Thursday 26 March at 8.00pm in Ipoh.  They are studying 1 & 2 Thessalonians.  A few new members also came to be part of the class this semester. We are praying that more will come in next week.
