Everyone in the World…in the Word

Mid term break

Most our classes will be taking a 2 week break in view of the Hari Raya Holidays. Please continue to do you daily questions and at the same time open your hearts to what God is saying to you. If you are going away for a short break, DO NO FORGET to take you studies with you.

Use this time to witness for the Lord and come back to your classes refreshed and ready to complete the semester. Happy Holidays!

The Rev Dr. Viji Daniel, who is the Vicar of St. Barnabas Church, Klang and also a member of the Klang class will deliver this week’s lecture at the PJ Class on Revelation Chapter 14. He is also one of the Assistant Teacher Leader for the Klang Class.

An impressive speaker with a good grasp of the Word of God. Please come prepared to be challenged y God’s Word.IMGP1995

IMGP2811The last 2 weeks lectures at the PJ Class was delivered by our PJ Coordinator, Ms. Esther Richards. We thank God for her love for the word. She presented the lectures with excellence. Praise the Lord.

We hope that in each areas God will help us bring to the fore many who love His word and help and train them to be effective and confident communicators of His Word. CBSI Malaysia desires to see many more being trained.

Members on Mission

Bhutan & Kathmandu

Bhutan & Kathmandu

John and Doreen from the PJ CBSI class were away last week to attend the wedding of a Nepali Pastor in Kathmandu. Just before the wedding they were invited by some missionary friends to visit Bhutan. There they were able to meet some of the believers. The Christian population is very small in Bhutan.
Back in Kathmandu they were asked to speak to 80 pastors and church workers. These men and women love their country and want to make a difference in the administration of the government.

Doreen summed up by requesting that we pray for these 2 countries in these very trying times.

The Damansara CBSI Class, last night welcome a new member in the person of brother James Tang. James in Singaporean and has been in West Malaysia for a while. He has since been looking for a church and  a Bible Study to attend to. We was invited to the CBSI class and was pleased that he came. Let’s pray that God will put a thirst in the hearts of many others to find a good BIble Study where they will be confident, cared for and safe. So start introducing your CBSI classes to others. Let us see God work!

The Cabinet last Wednesday announced the withdrawal of the above Bill that was to be tabled in Parliament. We thank the Cabinet for their decision and pray that God will give them wisdom as they draft laws and bills for the good of the nation.

The Bill if passed would have allowed any one of the parent to convert their child to Islam without the consent of the other parent. This cause an out cry among the minority groups and NGO’s and called on the Government to think through the Bill carefully so that it was fair and acceptable by all the citizens of the Nation.

We praise God that the Church prayed. We must continue to pray for our beloved Nation.

CBSI Malaysia conveys our deepest condolences to our member of the JB Class. Ms Sheena Tay who lost her mother on 3rd. July in Kuala Lumpur. Sheena had shared Christ with her mother many times and we pray that the seeds sown would bear fruit in the eyes of the Lord. Sheena and her sister are the only Christians in the family.

We also express condolences to Betty Foo also a member of the JB Class who lost her mother last Tuesday. Her mother worshiped in the Roman Catholic Church in JB.

Please uphold these sisters as they grieve the lost of their loves ones.

We are praying for you.

Some gems from my weeks devotion. Any voice that draws people away from God and prevents them from seeing the work of God in Christ, according to the Apostle John (John 10.1-10) are “thieves and robbers” This is a great challenge for us who are in leadership.

“It is not great talents God blesses so much as great likeness to Jesus. A holy minister is an aweful weapon in the hand of God” Robert Murray M’Cheyne (1813-43)

WE are glad to inform all that classes have resumed for the 2nd Semester. 4 Classes are now running at “full-speed” These are all night classes. We are praying that a day class could be started in PJ for the senior members who are finding it a little difficult with driving to class in the night. Pray that God will speak to one of the the Teaching Leaders to take on the challenge. Please also pray that our members will be protected from all harm as they travel to classes. In recent times the security situation especially in Kuala Lumpur has been unsafe.

The PJ Class is having their last class tonight as they break for the 1st Semester break. They have Been studying the Book of Revelation and the attendance as be good. There was even a new member last week. She just news of the class through the web site. Praise God for this media.

Most of the other classes closed last week. Many churches are also having their family camps and we want to encourage you as CBSI class members to be part of your church camp. This is where you will have the opportunity to share your experiences in CBSI and invite new members to join your class. I pray that you will have the passion of bringing someone to the Lord and at the same time seeing them grow in the Lord. Getting them to a CBSI class is one of the greatest gifts you can give them.

Happy Holidays and God bless you.
