I want to study the Bible

I want to study the Bible

Kim, was surfing the website and came across CBSI Malaysia. Wanting to know what this was, she continued reading and discovered that this was a Bible Study movement. She found the contact numbers and called the people concerned whether she could come and see what it was all about.
She said at the class tonight, “I was searching for something to help me understand the Bible as I believe that only God’s word can bring me peace and freedom” She has decided to continue to come to the PJ Class and one of the class leaders has willing offered her a lift.

One of the objectives of CBSI is to help people feel comfortable.

MotherCBSI Malaysia wishes all mothers, grand-mothers, god-mothers and mothers to be a Bless and Happy Mother’s day. You have a tremendous role to play and we are thankful to God for you. Our prayers are that you will always be a sweet fragrance for the Lord.

In a conversation with a pastor today, I suggested that she may want to try the CBSI method for her Bible Study. I assured her that I would be willing to train her and her group. I was pleasantly surprised by her response, ” too much home work to do!”

The CBSI method is designed in such a way that the busiest person will be able to do the study. One question in the morning, one in afternoon and maybe 2 in the night. The secret is to attempt the questions given on a daily basis. This is a good habit because, as we study the Bible daily it is an opportunity for the Lord to speak to us. Thus His word must always be fresh to us.

If you would like to know more of CBSI, please call Rev Fred David (019-820-8245 or email: cbstudymy @ gmail.com

We praise God that a small group will be starting to do James in Tamil in Port Klang. This is initiated from the Klang Class. We thank God for Mrs Bella Naveratnam who has the desire that these people study the Bible in their mother tongue.

easter-garden-via-Melissa-Holt1Belated Easter Greetings to all members and friends. It has been a very busy time, nevertheless we pray that the season has brought to you a “freshness” of that Easter morning.

Most of our classes have begun their semesters and we praise God for the many new members that have joined our classes. Our desire is to see that in all major towns of the country there is at least one CBSI class to help people who are searching to know God deeper. Our prayer that there will be a desire in the hearts of people for God’s word is being answered. We must continue to pray that people will find love. fellowship and confidence in their small groups.

Palm Sunday

The Church universal will celebrate Palm Sunday on Sunday 24 March,

On Palm Sunday Christians celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, the week before his death and resurrection. For many Christian churches, Palm Sunday, often referred to as “Passion Sunday,” marks the beginning of Holy Week, which concludes on Easter Sunday.

The Bible reveals that when Jesus entered Jerusalem, the crowds greeted him by waving palm branches and covering his path with palm branches. Immediately following this great time of celebration in the ministry of Jesus, he begins his journey to the cross.

The biblical account of Palm Sunday can be found in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19.

CBSI Malaysia wishes all members a meaningful Passion Week. Seek the Lord while he is to be found!

IMGP2682We welcome the new Asia Pacific Director in the person of Ps. Devandra Rai. He hails from Nagaland and is married to Koko. They are a wonderful couple and we praise God that they have responded to God’s call to take up this post. Devendra and Koko have 3 girls and a boy.

Please pray as they pray and seek God’s direction in relocating closer to the Asia Pacific region so that they can effective spur the ministry in the region.

story5Praise God the numbers have been encouraging for the opening of a new semester in PJ. The class meets at St. Paul’s Church in PJ on Tuesdays at 8.00pm. Our coordinator informs me that there are still people who are registering for the class.

We look forward to a fruitful semester this year.

Well done Peter!

Well done Peter!

Ps.Peter Hanscamp retires from being the Regional director of CBSI Asia Pacific after almost 10 years of faithful service at the end of March. Peter brought form and character to the ministry as Regional director and help build a team of national leaders who were willing to walk with him. Peter leaves the AP region with a job well done.

CBSI Malaysia wishes Peter and Mathilde a Happy Retirement and pray that God will open doors for them to bless and continue to build the people of God.

God Bless you brother!
