Everyone in the World…in the Word

Happy Father’s Day

You are special

CBSI Malaysia wishes all fathers a HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

It is a great calling to be a father and God has given each father the gift of love and leadership for his family. Fathers need to grow in the word themselves so that they will be able to “turn the hearts of their children to the Lord”. What better way that to join a CBSI class that is closet to you. Invite other fathers to do likewise. This is both evangelism and love for your brothers.

Fathers you are a gift from God to the world.

The Klang Class continues with their study of Revelation. They are now at Chapter 14. It has been a great challenge to keep the attendance up. Klang Class members please call your friends who have been away to continue with their study. “It is those who persevere who will inherit the crown”

The PJ Class is on semester break. They will resume on Tuesday 3rd July and will continue with the Study of John. The studies so far have been interesting and challenging. It is very encouraging to see the level of discussions grow. Praise the Lord

Happy Mother’s Day

You are so special

CBSI Board wishes all mothers in all our classes a Happy Mother’s Day. We thank God for you and pray that your sacrifices will always be an aroma to the Lord. We also pray that we will teach all children to honour their parents as the Bible commands us.

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES

At the PJ Class last night, the level of discussion was one of great excitement. The study focused on the passage of John 5:8-30. It was about Jesus being the “Lord of the Sabbath” The thrust of the discussion was what is the “Sabbath” in our generation and how should the church and Christians keep this? At the same time not wanting to create traditions that would one day become a burden to us and our children.

In the lecture that was given, our teaching director, expounded on the authority of Christ, his ability to explain to his accusers and the abundance of grace on the part of God in dealing with men determines the supremacy of the Son of God. The apostle John strongly points to the insufficiency of the Law with the coming of Christ. The law was always suppose to be a guide or a sign post. Thus Christ comes as the fulfillment of the law.

So the Sabbath was made for man and Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Thus, as Christians and the church, we need to find ways to honor God on the Sabbath. One way is to be doing what the Father wants to be done. Giving Sunday back to God.

The days of Satan are numbered and God has made us to be more than conquerors. The dragon is now defeated and frustrated at every turn: driven out of heaven, failed to devour the woman’s child and now failed to destroy the woman. He forgets that God is her protector as he is yours. Jesus is our only hope in this battle.

Happy Labour Day

For all PJ class members, please be informed that there will not be a class on Tuesday 1 May as it is Labour Day. Class will resume on Tuesday 8 May. Have a great Labour Day holiday.

Thinking of this, should not we put a greater emphasis on “Keeping Sunday, as the Lord’s Day.” If the world can recognise and set a day for all the workers in the world, should we not take the Lord’s Sabbath (Sunday) more seriously. Can I ask you to think of making your Sunday worship a priority this year. This will greatly set in motion the revival in our land.

Tuseday is PJ Class Day

We will be studying John 4:43- 5:15. Hope you are enjoying this lesson. Jesus knew that the crippled man at the pool was a sinner yet He healed him, only cautioning him to sin no more. This is the Father’s love for us!

It will be good from time to time to remind your class that we are all learners. This will help the quiet and new member not to be intimidated. We are here to encourage them to engage with God’s word and the class discussion. Our ultimate aim is to make them confident in handling God’s word. They could be your future class leaders. See that they are comfortable. Find them a seat besides a member who is gentle and patience. In this way you will be caring for them. Remember , many who come to your class need and long for love. Shepherd them well.

The class in Bukit Jalil that meets in Peace Community Church has just started their study on Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians. This is a wonderful Epistle and very relevant for today’s Christians as we face the pressures and stress of a modern society.

If you live in the area or know someone who will benefit from this study, please contact CBSI Malaysia. We are here so that “Everyone in the World.. in the Word”
