Everyone in the World…in the Word

Condolences

CBSI Malaysia extends our condolences to Terri Lewis, Teaching Leader of Ampang 2 class on the demise of her beloved father-in -law Dom Lewis in UK. Terri’s husband had gone to be with his father and was there when he went on to be with the Lord.

Please uphold Terri and the family in this time of mourning.

The Lord is your strength,

Fred with class members

It was a great privilege to be able to pay a visit the Ampang 2 Class which is hosted by The Bridge International Church on Jalan Ampang. The class is a mixed class and a fair number of them were from the Philippines. Terri Lewis is the coordinator and Teaching Leader of the class.

Fred shared a little of the work of CBSI Malaysia and gave the summary lecture for the day based on Romans Chapter 8:31-39.

It was fun fellowshipping with the group after the lesson.

Please be informed that the Klang Class will commence on Thursday 4 August 2011 @ St. Barnabas Church. They will be studying the Book Of Revelation.

Classes Resume

ATL Esther Richards

Most classes have resumed the week after the Easter break. It was wonderful to see members coming back eager for another semester of study. At the PJ Class, Assistant Teacher Leader, Esther Richards took the summary lecture on Acts 6 & 7.
We praise God that He is raising up more men and women who are able to handle the Word of God faithfully. Amen.

Easter Lilies at Peace Community Church

The Board of Directors and National Director of CBSI Malaysia, wish all members a Blessed Easter. We pray that the Power of the Resurrection will have a tremendous impact on your lives. We pray that this will spur you on to get as many people in our communities into God’s Word.

It is always not too late to introduce someone to study God’s Word. What better way than the CBSI way.

Condolences

CBSI Malaysia expresses our condolences to brother Thomas Kong, Yen Yen and family on the passing away of Thomas’ beloved mother, Grace Kong, in Labuan, Sabah on Friday 15 April.

Thomas is the coordinator for the PJ class.

May God give you strength in this time of mourning.

The Saviour rides a dinkey

Many of our classes are on break for the Easter season. Passion week began last Sunday with what s commonly called”Palm Sunday” This is the day that Jesus journeys triumphantly into Jerusalem riding on a donkey fulfilling the prophecy of the Prophet Zechariah (Zech 9:9) We are told from the Gospels that the crowds spread their clothes and others cut down branches and spread them on the road, crying after Him, “Hosanna to the Son of David”

This will be the beginning of Jesus’ journey to the Cross of Calvary. May we during this solemn season be mindful of the sacrifice that the Lord made for all on the Cross on Good Friday.

Mr. David Henry, whom we spoke of sometime ago as one of the 4 members in our classes, who maintained a 100% attendance, celebrated his 80th. Birthday in the midst of family and friends. A few CBSI class members were there. Our National Director was given the honour of praying for David and giving thanks to God for his life.

Fred in sharing how he has seen David grow in the last couple of years in CBSI said that here is a man who have been transformed by God’s Word.

May God give you many more years to testify for HIm.

God is So Wonderful!

1st BM Class @ PJ

Some of the Bahasa Malaysia speaking Christians who attended the PJ CBSI class were moved at the depth and quality of the CBSI Bible studies that they wanted to invite their BM speaking friends to also experience these studies. On Tuesday 22 March a group of Bahasa Malaysia Christians attended their first class. They are studying together with the PJ Class the Book of Acts.

One of the Pastors took the challenge to translate the material in Bahasa Malaysia and used it in the class. However, they all came back together for the Lecture. Pray that God will raise up a person to even give the lectures in Bahasa Malaysia in the coming days.

Our Malaysian Delegates

Fred, Jovi, Terri & Esther during a break

Esther Richards (PJ Class) , Terri Lewis (Ampang2 Class) and Jovi Natividad (Ampang2 Class Coordinator ) were able to attend the CBSI Conference in Port Dickson. I believe they were blessed and encouraged to see what God was doing through CBSI in the other countries of the Asia Pacific. Our National Director was also there with them.
