Everyone in the World…in the Word

Starry Night

I always wondered how it was the night the angels appeared to the shepherds in the fields outside Bethlehem. Yoke Fong and I were in Singapore last week to see a friend who is very sick. After spending some time with her we took a walk to the famous Orchard Road to see the Christmas lights. Here is something that can help your imagination. Although this must be magnified a thousand times. We all long to see the glory of God

and the glory of the Lord

As mentioned some time ago in our classes the above Conference will be held here at Port Dickson, Malaysia from 10-13 March 2011. Please look out for further details in the coming days. This is an opportunity for you to get to know other CBSI people from the nations around and at the same time to hear some of the CBSI Speakers.

God is with us!

CBSI Malaysia takes this opportunity to wish all our class members a Blessed New Year. We look forward to having you back when classes will resume in about a months time. Please check with your relevant class coordinators of the date of commencement.

May I challenge you that despite the gloomy out look predicted by the many so called “masters of the future”, we as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ know that our futures are in the hands of the one who holds the future.

Many Blessing for the New Year 2011 to you and love loved ones.

A Blessed Christmas

The Board of Directors of CBSI Malaysia wish all our members a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It has been a great year for CBSI Malaysia and to see the number of new classes and above all to see our members grow in the Word. That has been the greatest blessing for our Directors and me as National Director. This is the one thing that has encouraged us at National level to continue to invest in the ministry.

It has been confirmed that 2 new classes will begin in mid January of 2011. Praise the Lord. One will be in another part of the Klang Valley called Damansara and the other up north in Penang. Please pray for the training of the small group leaders and that the Lord will lead Fred to someone with the heart for God’s word to take on as Teaching Leader.

I take this opportunity to thank all the Class Coordinators for your excellent work the past year and may I ask you to give to the Lord that same commitment so that we will be able to see “Everyone in the World, in the Word”

God Bless you and your loved ones this Christmas.

ps. I will be taking a short break after Christmas waiting upon the Lord for the new year. Will be back blogging soon. (Fred)

Back From Myanmar

It has been a great time of teaching in Pyin Oo Lwin, about an hour’s drive from the ancient capital city of Mandalay. This was the same place that I went to in July. This is the Hill Station for the British in days gone by. The weather was great about 9C.

This time round I used 1 Timothy and it was a great time of learning together by the pastors and evangelists. The class has doubled since July. They are learning the lost art of good Bible Study. One of the thing that excites me is that there is a desire to want to go deeper into God’s word.

The next training will be in February -March 2011. There will a be training session on leading bible study.

Thank you for your prayers and keep praying that the pastors and evangelists will ask God for boldness as they study His Word.

Waited for Monday CBSI Class

Brother George and some of his friends came to study the Book of Daniel. As George shared his excitement in coming to the class, he said that he just could not wait for Mondays, as this was his CBSI class day. George gave a wonderful summary of what he had understood of the 12 chapters of Daniel. He memorized the Central Ideas of all the lessons. Well done brother.

wonderful understanding

God is with us!

Raymond who completed the study on the Book of Daniel said at the Thanksgiving night that the one thing he learnt was that even in our generation, God was with us through the ups and downs.
Praise the Lord

25 members achieved 100%

Thank you

Mary Das the coordinator for the Klang class which meets at St. Barnabas church, thanked all members for their faithful attendance at our CBSI class. She especially praised 25 members who attained 100% attendance. She said this showed their eagerness and hunger for God’s Word.

She then announced that when class resumes in 2011, they will be studying the Book of Revelation. Please pass the word around and register early to ensure you have a place in the class for 2011.

Congratulations to all and a special thank you to all small group leaders and our wonderful and dedicated coordinators. Praise the Lord

Let the Light Shine

Little India all lighted up

The festive air is back in Malaysia despite the heavy rains and flooding in the Northern states of Perlis and Kedah and on the East Coast states of Kelantan and Trengganu. The nation is celebrating the Hindu Festival of Lights or Deepavali.

We pray that people will have the opportunity in this season to hear about the One that gives the True Light- Jesus Christ. This is the Light that came to take away the darkness in the world.

If you wish to know more about the Light of the World, just leave a comment on our site and we will help direct you to some avenues of help.
