Klang Class

Preparations are under way for the class in Klang to begin in July. This time round it may be on a Monday night. We are at the moment talking to our members regarding the change. This will allow Fred to do the teaching again for them. This time round the assistant teaching leaders will take a fair bit of the teaching responsibility.

Look out for the details in the next few days.

It is very encouraging to note the attendance has been consistent. They are in to the 4 Lesson of 1 John. They are already planning to do another 6 week study before they close for Christmas. If you have friends in Johore who will benefit by these classes, please give them out contacts.

One of the assistant teaching leaders, Tan Meng Poo is to be ordained a minister in the Anglican Church on 2nd July 2010 at St. Barnabas church in Klang. Please pray for him as he he takes this step for his life. Pray also for his family for the adjustments they have to make. God Bless you Meng Poo and Congratulations.

New Semester in Klang

The Klang 1 Class will begin a new semester in July, They have decided to study the Book of Daniel. This will be a 12 week study and please begin to invite your friends who are interested in studying the Bible to these sessions. This class will be hosted by St. Barnabas church. Fred was able to attend the Regional meeting in Manila from May 21-22 2010. It was a good time of catching up with the team in the Asia Pacific Region. Peter Hanscamp chaired the sessions. We were very thankful to Tina the National Director for the Philippines for the use of her holiday home in Subic Bay. One of the things that came of this meeting is that the Regional Conference for Asia Pacific for 2011 is now moved from Bangkok to Malaysia. Fred and the team from Malaysia will look into the logistics.

4 Class that is in Johor Baru, Petaling Jaya, Bukit Jalil and Ampang will take a short break beginning next week. This coincides with the school holidays and gives parents some time to be with their school going children. Classes will the week beginning 21 June 2010.

JB Class Resumes

Our class in JB (Johor Baru) resumes on Monday 10 May 2010 at the Good Shepherd Church. Class will begin at 8.00pm. Rev Fred David will co teach the class with Mr. Tan Meng Poo. Please let your friends know and if they are interested in studying God’s Word in depth, please contact

Class @ Bukit Jalil

Great news for those in the Bukit Jalil area. We now have a class in the area held at Peace Community Church at the “Link”. It meets on Fridays at 8.15pm. They are studying the Gospel of Luke.

Visiting East Malaysia

Our National Director, Rev Fred David is planning a visit to some of the key churches and church leaders in East Malaysia. Please pray as he makes contact with them and that the Lord will open the way for CBSI Malaysia to make some strong inroads into the community offering good Bible Studies that come with personal application of Biblical truths to everyday living.

A couple of classes will be commencing the next few months.

April 21 will see the Johor Baru Class begin another semester at the Church of the Good Shepherd. They will meet on Wednesday nights. They will be studying 1 John. Please pray for the coordinator as she plans and schedules the retraining of all small group leaders.

In June a new class will begin in Butterworth on Wednesday nights at St. mark’s Church. They will be doing The Book of James.

IN July the 2nd Klang Class will be studying on Monday nights the Book of Daniel.

CBSI MALAYSIA Board wishes you a Happy Easter. We pray that you have had a great time of celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Classes have once again commenced after the Easter break and will run till the middle of June to coincide with the Malaysian school holidays.

We have seen a number of new members joining the class especially at the PJ Class. The PJ Class continues to study Paul’s letter to the Romans. They are now at Lesson 7.

The Ampang class also continues with the Book of Revelation and they have now finished Chapter 14. The attendance have been constant and we are pleased that all who come are benefiting for the studies. Praise the Lord.
