Everyone in the World…in the Word

To all our members and friends,

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8.28)

These are challenging times for us. Our classes are suspended temporarily because of the Movement Control Order. We hear each day of the rising new cases of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is spreading at an alarming rate. But we must not give in to fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power and self-control ( 1 Timothy 1.7). Thus pray that God’s protection and covering will be upon each one of us. There is a lot of advise and suggestions floating on the net on what to do during this pandemic. I pray that God will give you wisdom to do what is right.

May I encourage you at this time to be closer to God. I believe that God has a word and a message for us. We need to discern this as His children and be the salt and light in the world for Him. Thus, do not neglect your daily times of Bible reading and prayer. May I suggest that we take 5 minutes at midday to pray for the world, country and church. Pray also those who have not received Jesus as their personal savior, that they will come to know him in a special way.

Stay at home and stay safe. We look forward tyo seeing you when your class resumes. God Bless

Thanksgiving Dinner

The PJ CLass on Tuesday 10 December held their annual thanksgiving dinner. It was a good time of fellowship and sharing God’s blessings. A little bit of games, testimonies and sharing the goodness of studying the word of God together. The food was excellent.

Many are looking forward to coming back in the new year to begin their studies for yet another year. Classes will start in January. The leaders will be meeting to set in motion the study programme for 2020. If you know of anyone who would benefit from these studies or would be interested in studying the Word of God in a friendly and loving environment, please contact Esther Richards @

CBSI Malaysia is so thankful to a team of dedicated leaders who lead the PJ Class week after week. Ms. Esther Richards as Class Coordinator has done a marvelous job to keep the class running. A special word of thanks to Rev Joshua Ong who has graciously opened the doors of St. Paul’s PJ for classes to be held on Tuesday evenings.

The last class for the year at PJ was held on 5 November 2019. Rev Fred David gave the concluding lecture bringing the study of the Book of 1 Samuel to a close. It was a great year of study for the class and testimonies tell of how the members have enjoyed the classes. One brother shared that his life had changed and the he is now studying the Bible everyday.

The aim of CBSI is to get everyone in the world in the Word. We pray that many more of such testimonies will be forth-coming.

Praise the Lord

Partnership in the Gospel

Rev Canon Fred David, National Director of CBSI of Malaysia met up with Tina Guingona, National Director of CBSI Philippines. in August. We were all part of a great team under CBSI Asia Pacific led by the late Ps. Peter Hanscape. It was a great time of sharing and encouraging one another and praying for the ministry as it grows. Looking forward to another meeting with the Filipino team on the next visit to Manila.

God Bless the work of CBSI around Asia

Dr. Mano our Regional Director made a stop over on his way back from Australia. It was a good 3 days of fellowship and meeting many a number of contacts. He has the desire to see CBSI South Asia rise to a more strategic and impacting position for the Kingdom of God.

Let us work together to ground people in the Word of God so many more will be ale to hear the good news of the Gospel.

It is with deep sadness that we were informed of the passing away of our dear bro Mr.Goh King Kim a very strong member of the our JB class in August 2019. He has been unwell for a while. Our National director had the privilege to visiting him when he was in hospital and nursing home.
