Everyone in the World…in the Word

Belated Congratulations!

Congratulations

Our belated congratulations to our Chairman of CBSI Malaysia  The Rev Datuk Dr. Yeoh beng San on being honoured as one of outstanding doctors in the country and for his service to the Community.

Datuk Yeoh, we are proud of you. Praise the Lord!

It was a wonderful evening when the Damansara Class got together to give thanks to God for the year of studies. They were very regular and despite the many challenges of city life, most made it to their class.  They finished Paul’s Letter to the Galatians and are looking forward to studying Ephesians and Colossians in the coming year.

Well done and God bless you and your families.

102015thanks

We praise God that all classes have finished their studies for the year. It has been an interesting and exciting year for many. The testimonies we hear are about how God has spoken to so many of the members through His Word. This has encouraged many to even sign up for 2019.

AS Blessed Advent Season to all as we prepare for the Birth of Jesus. may each advent candle remind us of the coming of the Son of God. Christmas has become so commercialized that we need to put Christ back into Christmas. I pray that as you spend time with family and friends in this wonderful season, you will remember those in need and lonely.

See you next year.!

FB_IMG_1507549677881The late Peter Hanscampe was the first to be appointed as the Asia Pacific Regional Director in early 2000. He was teaching and pastoring in Singapore when he came into contact with CBSI through the Woodlands CBSI class.

Peter was really a pastor at heart and his care and love for the team in Asia Pacific was greatly appreciated and cherished. Peter had made many visits to Malaysia and would always stay with the Davids while they were in Sabah and then later in Kuala Lumpur. Peter encouraged CBSI Malaysia to be formally registered and to see that it would operate on its own.  He was really pleased that he was able to see the CBSI Board instituted and commissioned the Board of Directors under the Chairmanship of Datuk Rev Dr. Yeoh Beng San and the commissioning of the National Director.

Peter ably led the Asia Pacific team for many years and through many conferences building a strong bond amongst the team.

It was sad to hear of Peter’s passing away early this year. CBSI Malaysia thanks God for the life and ministry of Peter and Mathilda Hanscampe.

May they rest in peace. We will meet again!

CBSI Malaysia gives thanks to God for his faithfulness and grace in the last 20 years. Rev Fred David, who was on a Sabbatical in Austin, Texas 1996-1997, came across a CBS class at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church outside Austin. He was impressed at what he saw, as he was looking for something in strengthen his training of Evangelists in Sabah, Malaysia. He was put in touch with Earl and Betty Reeves who were Calebs and overseeing the CBSI ministry in South East Asia. Earl and Betty then trained Rev Fred in Singapore and that led to the first CBSI class in Malaysia in the Interior of Sabah in 1998

CBSI Malaysia recognizes the great and valuable contribution by the Reeves. We thank God for their love for God and his people. Their warmth and willingness to just to see people getting into God’s Word.

Earl and Betty, you are fondly remembered by the early CBSI team. Thank you and God give you health and joy in the days ahead.

20180712_203353_resizedWe praise God that we are able to help St. Mark’s Church, Butterworth, to run another study. This time they are studying Paul’s Letter tot he Galatians. Our National Director was able to do an introductory overview of the Letter and last Thursday 19 July they began Lesson 2  of  Galatians.

Class time is 8.00pm of Thursdays. Please contact Rev Soong 016 537 2007 for the details of the class.

If you know of anyone who lives in the area and would benefit from study, please encourage them to attend. A personal challenge to you, to accompany this brother or sister so that the Word of God could transform their lives. AMEN

floral-loveCBSI Malaysia wishes all members who are mothers, grandmothers and mothers to be a Blessed Mother’s Day.  May the Lord continue to give you the strength and courage in molding the lives of your dear ones in the Word of God. This is our prayer for you:

A Prayer for all Mothers,

Thank you, Lord, that you fill a mother’s heart with love,
That you have instilled in her very being the need to protect her children if at all possible,
Thank you for giving her the gift of nurturing her children, of teaching them, of comforting them,
for feeding them and making a safe place for them.

For guiding them to be all that God has created them to be.
Fill every mother with love, wisdom and endurance,
with strength and patience and joy.
Give them ability to forgive again and again.
Enable her to rely on You and call upon You, because You will give her all she needs.
In Your precious and all powerful name, Amen

IMG-20180508-WA0011Our P.J. class having finished the book of Joshua, have decided to study the Pastoral Epistles of Paul – 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus.  Our national director gave the introductory lecture that was very comprehensive and enlightening.  More than 30 have signed up for next Semester and we are praying that more will turn up after the mid-year holiday.  The New semester will take off on Tuesday June 5, 2018.  Pray that many church leaders will also attend this study.

Happy Retirement!

Thank you Datuk George Ting for your contribution over the past 10 years to the ministry of CBSI Malaysia. We will miss your presence and input for the ministry. But we pray that you will have a happy retirement and may the Lord continue to bless you and your family in the coming days. Thank you for your passion to see God’s word in the hearts of many people.

Our prayers are with you.  God bless from the members of the Board.

IMG-20180125-WA0004The Damansara Class decided to have a simple meal to celebrate the completion of the Book of Revelation in November 2017. The feed back was that there was so much to lead and understand. The class enjoyed the study especially helping them see that the church must prepare herself for the future. Their shout was “Let’s Be Over-comers” AMEN
