The Board of Directors and leaders of the CBSI Ministry in Malaysia wish all members a Blessed Easter 2014. The message of the angel in Matthew 28.1-10 is that “He is Risen” and was waiting for his disciples in Galilee. God had broken through into their world then and what was left as evidence was the empty tomb and the grave clothes.

A little boy at the worship this morning look into the tomb of the Easter Garden set up in church and looked a little puzzle. I asked him, “what did you see?” His answer was “nothing!” I was so relived. Because Jesus is risen from the dead. He defeated the last enemy and placed the angel sitting now victoriously over the tomb. The angel then asked the women to tell the brothers to go to Galilee where they will meet with Him.

Thus Easter for us is to share of this great hope, the greatest love displayed and do the great challenge before us – to tell others about the Risen Saviour.

Hope and the Certainty of God’s promises

IMGP2913Last week”s lecture (Lesson 8:Hebrews 6.9-20) at the PJ Class was delivered by Mrs. Glo Rajendram aka aunty Glo. She spoke of the need to always look to the “better” things that the Lord has made available for all who follow him. Often it is the material that is much sought after. However, the writer to the Hebrews speaks of “a better relationship,behaviour, security and hope” that will have far reaching impact as we strive to live the Christian life.

Jesus is always the better master to follow.

CBSI Tamil Training

580995_10151126893963867_155453211_nCBSI Malaysia is pleased to announce that for the first time we will be conducting a Tamil Training for small group leaders and Teacher leaders. Our South Asia Director, Dr. JN Manokaran will conduct the training. 2 Training days are planned.
Tuesday 22 April – PJ @ Peace Community Church, Bukit Jalil (9.30-4.00pm)

Wednesday 23 April – Ipoh @ Church of the Holy Spirit, Ipoh (10-04.00pm)

MH 370

Pray+for+MH370We are one as we pray for the mission flight MH370. It is now 17 days that the flight went missing and many nations are assisting us in the SAR. Some of the most advance equipment has been brought in for the search. Yet there is no sign of the aircraft.

Our prayers reach out to the families of the the crew and passengers of MH370. We cannot say we know how they feel, but we can pray that the love that was shown at Calvary will embrace them. May they encounter His warmth and His comfort at this time.

Our prayers are also for all those who are involved in the counseling and care for the families and loved ones. WE CONTINUE TO LOOK TO THE LORD.

Hebrews @ PJ

HebThe PJ Class decided that they will study Hebrews. It is an 18 week study and they are into Lesson 6. There has been very positive feed back so far and the fears that this is going to be a difficult book has turned out into an interesting and understandable Epistle. Thanks to all the small group leaders who are doing a great job and to the Teaching leaders for their spirit filled lectures.

Classes have started

We are please to announce the most of the classes have started since the end of February. The following will give you some information about the classes:

PJ CLass meets on Tuesday (8.00pm) and have started on the Book of Hebrews

Damansara Class meets on Wednesdays (8.30Pm) and have began to study 1 Corinthians.

JB Class meets on Thursdays (8.15pm) and are continuing with their study on Revelation.

Bukit Jalil Class meets on Fridays (8.30pm) the will also be studying 1 Corinthians.

The others will be starting after Easter.

This is a great opportunity to help a friend to get grounded in the Word.Please introduce them to one of these classes.

Happy Chinese New Year

orangesThe Board of Directors and National Director wish all our Chinese members and friends a Happy Chinese New Year. We pray that God’s blessing will be abundant in you families and lives. Much has been said about the “year of the Horse”. But we at CBSI Malaysia are going to get hold of the bridle “run” in the year of the horse. We are looking at increasing the number of classes this year and developing a strong team of Teaching Leaders. We are praying that through these classes our members will further contribute to their local churches. Together with their church leadership to lay a strong biblical foundation and principles of the kingdom in their congregations.

Christmas Get Together

The PJ Class had a wonderful time on 7 December at the home of our members brother Solomon and Vasantha. We thank them for opening their home and for hosting a great fellowship dinner. It was a time for just sitting and sharing God’s goodness to each one. It was also great to hear how the Book of Revelation had an effect on their lives. Each one was able to say that God had Blessed them during the year and for that they were so thankful to our Lord and Saviour.

Thank you to all who came and made it a great Christmas gathering.

Happy New Year

We pray that the new year will present great challenges for CBSI Malaysia and for the extension of God’s Kingdom. We also pray that members will continue to be motivated to study God’s living word ceaselessly. We look forward to all classes commencing once again after the Chinese New Year. Condolences

Please uphold Dr. Low and Mrs. Pauline Low of our JB class. Pauline’s mother went to be with the Lord last week. Please pray for them as they go through this time of mourning. The Lows are coordinators of the JB class and take great care and pride in running the class.

Dr. Low and Pauline we are praying for you at this time of loss. God is with you.
