Everyone in the World…in the Word

We praise God that we will be able to start another new class in Butterworth in June 2010. We are in the midst of planning for a small group leader’s training and a possible Teaching Leader’s training. This will be over 2 nights. The details will be announced in due course. Please keep this in prayer for a great harvest up in the North. Please pray that God will lead Fred to the right people with a heart for God’s word to be trained and released in ministry.

NEW CLASSES

Please pray that God will open the doors for 5 new classes to commence in 2010. They will be in Butterworth, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Chinese class in Ipoh, a Bahasa Malaysia class in PJ and a class in Sandakan, Sabah.

Please also pray that God will open doors for a class in the East Coast of West Malaysia.

Fred & Yoke Fong being commissioned

The Rev Fred David was commissioned National Director of CBSI Malaysia. He has been doing the work and promoting CBSI for the last 17 years. He first made contact with CBS in Austin, Texas. The CBSI Malaysia Board of Directors led by the newly appointed Chairman, Rev Dato Dr. Yeoh Beng San commissioned him along with his wife Yoke Fong who has served for a long time as National Coordinator.
The Chairman prayed that God will empower Fred to do this new work in Malaysia.

Wednesday 24 February was a historic day for CBSI Malaysia as the first Board of Directors was commissioned. We praise God that after a long road we have finally been able to establish the Board of Director. The Rev Dato Dr. Yeoh Beng San was appointed as the Chairman of the Board. Dato Yeoh is a pastor as well as a Medical Doctor from Ipoh. He has served the Lord well and above all being faithful. The following are the other members of the Board:

Also present at the service were members of the various classes around the Klang Valley. We had the privilege of having the regional Director of CBSI Asia Pacific, Mr. Peter Hanscamp too.

Praise God we have begun classes again for the year 2010.

PJ Class at St. Paul’s are into the 3rd week doing Paul’s Letter to the Romans. Rev Fred David is the teaching leader. They meet on Tuesday at 8.00pm. Please call Thomas Kong if you or a friend is interested in attending the class. His number is 012-385-6688

The Ampang Class begins after a long Christmas and Chinese New Holidays on Thursday 3rd March at 8.00pm. They are continuing with their study on the Book of Revelation at Chapter 13. They meet on Thursdays at Melawati Gospel Centre, Taman Melawati. Please contact Ng See Yan for attending this class. His number is: 012-200-9278

Happy New Year 2010

One of the things that dawned upon me was that this will be the first time in our generation that we are encountering a “10” The last ten was in 1910. That was a century ago. May I take this opportunity to wish you a Happy 2010 and may the year be fruitful and that every blessing flow for you.

Please look out for the classes that will commence in your area. The following classes are confirmed to commence:

January 21: Ampang Class @ Melawati Gospel Centre. They will continue with The Book of Revelation.

January 26: PJ Class @ St. Paul’s Church, PJ. They will be doing Paul’s Letter to the Romans. This will be a 30 week programme but it will be done in 3 semesters.

Please pray for the small group leaders training and the teaching leaders training sessions. Have a great year of studying the Word of God.

Classes Closed for the Year

All classes in the country have stopped for the Christmas Holidays. We praise God that it has been a fruitful year. 3 Classes have confirmed their commencing dates for 2010. We will be doing a centralized training early in January for all Small Group Leaders and potential Teaching Leader. Pastor Fred will contact you with regards to the training.

One of the new developments will be the the possibility of beginning a class in Bahasa Malaysia for BM speaking Christians. Please pray as we discuss this with the various people who minister in BM.

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CBSI Malaysia I wish you a Joyous Christmas and a Blessed New Year.

We praise God that after much prayer and hard work, the CBSI Malaysia Board was formed under the name of “C B Study Malaysia Bhd.” The first Board Meeting was held on Thursday 19 November at the Upper Room of St. Paul’s Church, PJ. The Dr.Dato Yeoh Beng Sang was appointed the Chairman of the Board and the Rev Fred David was duly confirmed as the National Director for Malaysia. The other members of the Board are: Dato George Ting, Mr. John Liew (Sabah) Mr Peter Ling, Elder Ng See Yen, Mr. Lew Weng Ho and Mrs. Usha Jacob.

The Board has fixed 25 February as the Commissioning Service of the National Director and Board members. Please keep the date free and invitations to the service will soon be out. Please continue to pray for all those involved in CBSI that the year 2010 will be a year of great harvest for the Lord.

Please be in prayer as the 1st Board of Directors meeting will be held on Thursday 19 November 2009. This is a historic moment for CBSI Malaysia as we will be a truly Malaysian entity. CBSI Malaysia is now registered as “C B Study Malaysia Bhd

Please begin to pray that another new class will open in Butterworth in the northern state of Penang in 2010. The pastor of a church has expressed his desire for a good Bible study in the town. Pray that God will prepare those who will be trained as small group leaders and also for at least 2 teaching leaders. PRAISE THE LORD.
