Ampang Class Commences…
Blessed and Fruitful New Year from Yoke Fong and Fred
We have been rather busy preparing for at least 3 new classes this year. Fred has also been actively involved in a new church plant called “Peace Community Church”
On New Year’s Eve Fred preached to a pack church on Hebrews 12: 1-4 on “Running and Finishing the Race” fixing our eyes on Him who is the Perfecter of our Faith. We are trusting the Lord for all our needs for CBSI Malaysia in 2009. Come pray and partnership with us in this ministry.
Look out for the commencement dates of all classes in your your area. Let’s pray for a fruitful year of study. Happy
New Year
Christmas Isn’t Christmas !
“Christmas isn’t Christmas till it happens in your heart”
This is the opening line of one of modern Christmas carols. The Lord has been impressing upon me this year as we come close to Christmas, that it is more important for people not only to understand the real reason for Christmas but to experience it in their lives. The Apostle John writing in the first Chapter of his Gospel says that, “The Word became flesh” This is the incarnation that God was now taking on human flesh to be amongst his people.
He is here with is and his presence must make that difference in all our lives. I believe the economic down turn is God’s way of helping us get our priorities right again. May the God who came to dwell among us at that first Christmas be the God that gives you peace and and joy this Christmas season.
A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS TO ALL CBSI CLASS MEMBERS IN MALAYSIA AND FRIENDS AROUND THE WORLD.
Church Affirms CBSI Coordinator
On Wednesday 26 November, the Bishop of the Anglican Church in West Malaysia collated Dr. S.K.Teoh as an Hon. Canon of the Cathedral Church of St. Mary’s the Virgin in Kuala Lumpur. This is in recognition of the many years of Dr. Teoh’s faithful service to the Church. Dr. Teoh was responsible for opening the way for a CBSI Class at the YMCA, Ipoh. He serves as the Coordinator of this area and also leads a small group and is being trained to be a Teaching Leader. His dear wife, Nancy is also a CBSI class small group leader. Both husband and wife are sold out in the teaching and studying of God’s word. We praise God for raising the Teohs to take leadership in the Ipoh area.
On behalf of CBSI Malaysia we extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Teoh and Nancy and pray that their love for God’s word will never weaver.
Ipoh class breaks for Christmas
The class that meets at YMCA, Ipoh had their last class last Wednesday before
they take a break for the year end. It was a great time of teaching and fellowshipping. They are studying the Book of Daniel. As members said their good byes and Christmas greetings, one could sense the feeling of “missing one another” This is what CBSI is all about, building people and seeing that they are cared for. Praise the Lord. They will resume class in January 2009 but will meet on a Thursday night instead of Wednesday.
Peachtree Corners CBS Class
It was exciting for Yoke Fong and I to meet up with Victor Tan from Georgia, Atlanta. Victor is Malaysian and came home to Klang to attend the wedding of his nephew. Victor’s wife Felicia who hails for that beautiful city of Ipoh, is the Asst, Children’s Director for Peachtree Corners CBS Class. When the class heard that Victor was coming to Malaysia, they got him to make contact with us in Malaysia. This class has been praying for Malaysia.
We had a great time over lunch and shared some of our vision for the coming year. One of the things that will excite Felicia is that the class in Ipoh meets at the YMCA and is it growing week after week. The Ipoh class are praying about taking CBSI to Taiping a town further north.
To Karen Hodges the teaching Director of this class and all the members, Yoke Fong and I want to thank you for praying for us. Pray that we will be faithful to Him who called us into this ministry despite the setbacks, difficulties and restrictions. God Bless you too and thank you for the photos.

Please pray for Peter as he travels in the region. Pray for his health.
Classes Resume
Hi everyone,
This is to inform you that 2 of our classes have resumed for the 2nd semester in Malaysia. Both these classes are doing the Book of Daniel. They are in the 2nd week and both classes are seeing an increase in class attendance.
Attendances at these 2 classes are: YMCA Ipoh Class 58, MGC Ampang 45,
Please keep praying for these classes as class members “tell of the goodness” to others. We pray that many will be blessed as they come to CBSI classes.
I would like to thank the many of you who have been praying for CBSI Malaysia. The process of getting CBSI registered is now half way through and we are confident that it will be registered before the Inaugural Board meeting on 21 October 2008. Please continue to pray for those who have accepted the invitation to sit on the Board. The functions of the Board is primarily to give directions and decide on the policies for our ministry here in Malaysia. Thus as National Director, I will be accountable to the Board.
Please also pray that together with the Board we will be able to take CBSI to a greater height. I am eagerly looking forward to working with the Board to raise the finances we need to run the ministry. At the moment it has been a heavy task upon me. Please also pray that the funds will come in.
Our annual Annual Budget for the year 2008 is around RM80,000.00. To-date we have only raise 30% of our Budget. If the Lord so moves you please kindly send us your support. Cheques should be made out for the time being to : “CBSI“. and sent to
